Unique Laser Therapy for Vaginal Dryness

Dyspareunia (Painful Intercourse)

An intimate solution for an intimate problem

Women may experience sexual pain or dyspareunia throughout their lives. This is an unfortunate reality for a large portion of postmenopausal women and those with medically induced menopause. When estrogen levels decline, this leads to a thinning of the vaginal tissue which then becomes fragile and susceptible to tearing and bleeding. There is also a decrease in vaginal secretions. Additionally, there are factors which cause the vagina to narrow and even shorten. Sexual pain may be prevalent upon mere insertion or with penetration.

The pain felt from dyspareunia is described as: burning pain, aching pain and throbbing pain. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, you are not alone. As many as 50% of postmenopausal women experience the symptoms of vulvovaginal atrophy, including dyspareunia; and only 25% talk with their doctor about their suffering*.
